Jean Scott makes a lot of her work on inexpensive or found materials, including recycled surfaces from earlier works. Scars and badges embedded in or emblazoned on used panels or scraps of cardboard help determine how images emerge while the artist works, and also inform the decisions she makes:  what to bury, what to bring to light; what cannot be changed, and what might be utterly transformed.  Contact:  jeanscott.art@gmail.com
